What other treatment options did you try before deciding to have surgery?

I tried two cortisone shots, three different physical therapists (including dry needling), several massage (body work) therapists, and yoga. What was your recovery like?

Did a total of about 25 physical therapy sessions over a 5 month period. The recovery took a little longer than I expected and there were a couple of weeks when I felt like I hadn't made any progress - frustrating. How long did it take you to recover?

Recovery took longer than I expected. It was a good six months before I was able to do some of the exercises that were painful before. And even then there was still stiffness in my shoulder. Since then the stiffness has gradually lessened.

Biceps tenodesis is a surgery to repair the biceps tendon. This procedure is typically used when the biceps tendon causes pain in and around the shoulder.
