What other treatment options did you try before deciding to have surgery?

I tried two cortisone shots, three different physical therapists (including dry needling), several massage (body work) therapists, and yoga. What was your recovery like?

@Terrysan I’m still wearing it when out of the house, but weaning that down, and off and on at home. I’ve got clearance to try driving. Slept two night now without, and about a week before that with it in my own bed. Recovery is slow as hell for a SLAP tear and biceps tenodesis 🙃

Recovery took longer than I expected. It was a good six months before I was able to do some of the exercises that were painful before. And even then there was still stiffness in my shoulder. Since then the stiffness has gradually lessened.

Biceps tenodesis is a surgery to repair the biceps tendon. This procedure is typically used when the biceps tendon causes pain in and around the shoulder.
