skiing

@rayofliteindark My husband a laminectomy about 20 yrs ago. The surgeon said he’d had it done and was skiing 2 weeks later. Mike’s recovery was twice that, but totally worth it. You’re gonna do great!😊

@Mega_Pixls FWIW I had an L4-5 laminectomy years ago. Rehab took longer than I anticipated but I had a great outcome and am now pain free. Again, weight training has helped immensely. Very best wishes! Get well ASAP!

@_AngelLady_ I had a Laminectomy in 1980 (age 23) I was told I wouldn't play sport again, it changed my life.

I stopped playing football when I was 45, still play squash occasionally and play golf at any opportunity.

Good Luck.

@ocmominthesouth I had an L4/5 fusion and L3/4/5 laminectomy 6 years ago. The surgery went very well as did the recovery but it’s long and you’ll need help from your kids and friends (no driving or lifting). I have no regrets about the surgery - none. My quality of life improved dramatically.

@denise_dewald @babbymd 10 years ago, I had a slipped disc. Ortho told me I needed laminectomy. I didn't want to hear that, so I did a bunch of things, including chiro. Ortho told me "no prob, see you in 6 months when you are ready for the procedure" He was right and I've been pain free since :-)
